Left 4 Dead 2

4.3

2009 · Co-op FPS · PC / Steam

Left 4 Dead 2 defined cooperative zombie shooting in 2009 and still hasn't been surpassed at its own game more than fifteen years later. The AI Director keeps runs unpredictable, the pacing hits a rhythm that modern imitators struggle to match, and the Workshop mod scene has multiplied the content well beyond what Valve originally shipped. Public lobbies can be rough on newcomers, so bringing friends is the recommended approach. It's one of those rare games where age has become a feature rather than a flaw, and the price of entry makes it an easy recommendation for anyone with a group ready to shoot zombies.

Call of Duty: Black Ops

4.2

2010 · First-Person Shooter · PC / Steam

Call of Duty: Black Ops delivered a campaign with genuine narrative ambition, a multiplayer suite that refined the franchise's best ideas, and the Zombies mode that would become a pillar of the series. Treyarch's Cold War setting gave the game a distinct identity within the franchise, and the story's psychological elements pushed the campaign beyond standard military shooter territory. The PC port has aging technical issues and the price remains stubbornly high for a fifteen-year-old game, but the overall package represents one of the strongest entries in Call of Duty's history.

28 Years Later

3.9

2025 · Danny Boyle · 115 min · Horror / Drama

28 Years Later reunites Danny Boyle and Alex Garland for a sequel that cares less about infected hordes than about how a boy learns what death means. Nearly three decades after the rage virus emptied Britain, young Spike leaves his island village for the mainland, and the film he's in keeps shape-shifting around him, from folk horror to war memory collage to a devastating hospice drama built on a magnificent Ralph Fiennes performance. It's the boldest studio horror film in years and also one of the messiest, with tonal swerves and a franchise-baiting finale that split audiences hard. Ambition this size rarely comes tidy.

They Are Billions

3.8

2019 · Real-Time Strategy · PC / Steam

They Are Billions delivers one of the most punishing and rewarding colony defense experiences on PC. The survival mode is a masterclass in tension, where a single breach in your walls can end hours of careful planning in seconds. A disappointing campaign mode and limited late-game variety hold it back from greatness, but the core loop of building, defending, and sweating through each wave is strong enough to justify the price of admission for strategy fans who like their stakes high.

Resident Evil 3 Remake

3.5

2020 · Survival Horror · PC / Steam

Resident Evil 3 Remake delivers a polished, thrilling ride through Raccoon City with excellent character work for Jill and Carlos and some of the series' best action gameplay. It also ends before it feels like it's properly started, and the Nemesis never becomes the unpredictable force that defined the original. As a standalone action horror game it's a blast, but the shadow of both its predecessor and its companion RE2 Remake looms large over everything it does.

Zombicide

3.5

2012 · 1-6 Players · ~60 min · Cooperative Miniatures Game

Zombicide delivers exactly what the box promises: a fast, loud, cooperative zombie survival game that runs on dice and adrenaline. The miniatures look great, the difficulty escalates in satisfying ways, and the scenario variety keeps groups coming back for more. Randomness and rulebook issues hold it back from true greatness, but this is a game that knows what it wants to be and commits fully. If you want a zombie game night without hours of rules overhead, Zombicide earns its spot on the shelf.
