BuzzVerdict ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website www.buzzverdict.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

BuzzVerdict does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use this site. We do not collect names, email addresses, or other personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily contact us.

When you visit our site, we may collect limited technical information automatically through analytics tools and cookies, but only if you consent to their use.

Analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site. GA4 collects anonymized usage data including pages visited, time spent on pages, referring websites, general geographic region (country/city level), device type, and browser type.

Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish unique visitors. This data is processed by Google under their own privacy policy. We have IP anonymization enabled, meaning your full IP address is not stored by Google Analytics.

If you do not consent to analytics cookies, no tracking data is collected and no analytics cookies are placed on your device.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. We use the following categories of cookies:

Essential cookies: These are required for the website to function properly. They include your cookie consent preference. These do not require consent under applicable law.

Analytics cookies: These are placed by Google Analytics (GA4) to help us understand site usage. These are only activated after you provide consent through our cookie banner. The cookies used include _ga and _ga_*, which expire after 2 years and 24 hours respectively.

You can withdraw your cookie consent at any time by clicking "Cookie Settings" in the footer of any page. You can also clear cookies through your browser settings.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process data:

Cloudflare: Our hosting and CDN provider. Cloudflare may collect technical data (IP addresses, request headers) for security and performance purposes under their own privacy policy. This processing is necessary for the legitimate interest of serving the website securely.

Google Analytics: Analytics service, activated only with your consent. See the Analytics section above.

Google Fonts: We load typefaces from Google Fonts. When fonts are loaded, your browser makes a request to Google's servers, which may log your IP address under Google's privacy policy.

Amazon Associates: We participate in the Amazon Associates Program. If you click an affiliate link, Amazon may place cookies on your device to track the referral. Amazon's use of cookies is governed by Amazon's privacy policy.

Your Rights

Data protection laws in various jurisdictions (including the EU's GDPR, California's CCPA/CPRA, Brazil's LGPD, Canada's PIPEDA, South Africa's POPIA, and Australia's Privacy Act) grant you rights over your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, and port your data, and to withdraw consent for its processing.

BuzzVerdict does not collect, store, or maintain any personally identifiable information. We do not require accounts, we do not store names or email addresses, and we do not build user profiles. We do not sell or share your information with anyone. Because no personal data is held by us, there is no personal data for us to retrieve, correct, or delete.

If you have previously consented to analytics cookies, the data collected by Google Analytics is anonymous and aggregated. This data is held by Google under their retention policies, not by BuzzVerdict. We cannot access or delete individual user records within Google Analytics.

The action available to you is to withdraw consent for future analytics tracking. You can do this at any time by clicking "Cookie Settings" in the footer of any page. Withdrawing consent will prevent any further analytics data collection and remove existing analytics cookies from your device.

Our legal basis for analytics processing is your consent. For essential site functionality and security (via Cloudflare), our legal basis is legitimate interest.

Data Retention

Analytics data collected by Google Analytics is retained according to Google's standard retention settings (14 months). Cookie consent preferences stored on your device persist until you clear them or withdraw consent. We do not maintain any database of user information.

International Data Transfers

BuzzVerdict is operated from Australia. If you access our site from outside Australia, your data may be transferred to and processed in countries where our service providers operate, including the United States (Google, Amazon, Cloudflare). These transfers are necessary to provide the service and, where applicable, are covered by appropriate safeguards including standard contractual clauses.

Children's Privacy

BuzzVerdict is not directed at children under 16. We do not require accounts, collect names, or store any personally identifiable information. Analytics data, when collected with consent, is anonymous and aggregated by Google. Because we do not collect or store personal data, there is no individual user data for us to retrieve or delete.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
