TMNT: Shredder's Revenge (Mobile)

4.2

2023 · Action / Beat 'em Up

TMNT: Shredder's Revenge on mobile is the subscription model's showcase port, the beloved beat 'em up revival delivered complete through Netflix's games catalog with no ads, no purchases, and no cuts. Touch controls clear the genre's low bar comfortably, controller support clears every bar, and the short-stage arcade rhythm fits commute sessions perfectly. The subscription gate and online requirement are real conditions, and the small screen squeezes the six-player chaos. As pure added value inside a subscription millions already carry, almost nothing on mobile competes.

Sifu

4.0

2022 · Beat 'em Up · PC / Steam

Sifu is a martial arts game that demands mastery and rewards it generously. The combat system is deep, responsive, and built to make you feel like a kung fu expert once you put in the hours to actually become one. The aging mechanic gives death real consequences without making the game feel unfair, and the level design is packed with shortcuts and secrets that reward repeated runs. Difficulty will push away players looking for a casual brawler, and the structure requires replaying content more than some people will tolerate. But for anyone who wants a game that makes earning skill feel meaningful, this is one of the best action games of the decade.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii

3.8

2025 · Action Adventure · PC / Steam

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is a gleefully ridiculous spinoff that puts Goro Majima at the helm of a pirate crew sailing around the Hawaiian islands. The return to real-time brawling combat is welcome, the naval exploration adds a fresh dimension to the franchise formula, and Majima's unhinged personality makes him the perfect fit for a pirate adventure. The story is thinner than mainline entries, the ship combat can feel repetitive, and the overall scope is clearly a step down from Infinite Wealth. But as a side dish between main courses, it's a good time.

Towerborne

3.3

2024 · Action RPG · PC / Steam

Towerborne comes from the studio behind The Banner Saga, and that pedigree shows in its gorgeous hand-drawn art and expressive animation. The four-player co-op brawling is satisfying in short bursts, the visual design is top-tier, and the world has personality to spare. But the early access launch revealed a game stretched thin by live-service demands, with repetitive mission structure, sparse content, and progression systems that don't yet reward the time invested. There's a good game fighting to get out, but it needs significantly more development time to fulfill its potential.
